- Starting near the roots (leaving an inch to avoid burns), clamp a section of hair between the barrels and hold for 3-5 seconds.
- Release the clamp, move the waver down the hair shaft so the top barrel overlaps the last wave crest, and repeat to the ends.
- Allow the waves to cool completely before gently tousling with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb.
